January 2024 memories in Switzerland visiting this January 2024 memories in Switzerland visiting this wonderful place to shoot Orion in various compositions. Such a paradise of opportunities offered to us photographers. I can’t wait to head back there another time and get to shoot some Milky Way Core images and add more light painting. Hope you like it.
As I am still processing my Geminid shots from 202 As I am still processing my Geminid shots from 2025, let me share a memory from 2024 and the Perseid shower I took visiting Aletsch Glacier. I got quite lucky with the forecast. Dark clouds got away just in time to avoid rain pouring down on me and leave suddenly the room to perfect clear sky. The plan was to shoot NE facing the gradient and having the biggest Swiss glacier in the frame. Besides I used some focal blending to have a more prominent foreground.

Amazing waterfall of Indonesia - Indonesia is one Amazing waterfall of Indonesia - Indonesia is one of my favorite countries. I have traveled there more than 10 times and always discovering new wonders visiting different islands. First time was in 2013 to spend 6 weeks doing a divemaster on Lembongan. The diving is just incredible in the coral triangle between the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. But the post is about the behind-the-scene of this wonderful waterfall in Java. I will visit it during my photo tour in September 2026 among other beautiful spots in East Java.
