Memories of a magical sunrise at Mont Saint Michel Memories of a magical sunrise at Mont Saint Michel. I woke up early to scout some spots around the water to frame this magical UNESCO site. In a previous image shared in Black and White, I flew my drone above a thick layer of fog and got to capture this place showing its magic above the clouds. I then walked to a different location to shoot this image finding a perfect leading lane.

It was quite a journey to get there from where I live but entirely worth the adventure. The idea was to reach the cave quite early before the entire crowd arrival and to scout the whole day and stay part of the night to capture the sky. In the meantime, during some scouting, my jacket had gone missing. I noticed that some other spot nearby. I went back but nothing to be found and some random person stole it. I contacted the hotel below in case the person would have been kind. Therefore, I spent the whole day shooting the different caves with multiple competitions. As it would be too cold to stay over at night without my jacket, I thought I would create a composite and use a north-oriented sky I had already captured from the same area some weeks before to match exactly the frame. Memory from Spring season 2025 as I’m planning t Memory from Spring season 2025 as I’m planning to snowshoe to that same spot in the coming days and scout for potential MW arch or 360 pano. Indeed, as March is the only period when we get to shoot both winter and summer milky way arches in the same night, I’m checking new landscapes to head out when time comes. Somewhere in Mangystau This area in the Mangysta Somewhere in Mangystau This area in the Mangystau region in Kazakhstan is made of a salt marsh and some amazing colorful rock formations. I visited last year and was amazing about this spot as well as so many other mesmerizing landscapes the region has to offer.
