Join us to discover some of the beautiful landscapes of East Java during this fabulous Landscape and Astro Photo Tour in Java Indonesia. This area of Indonesia is full of wonders and a great playground for landscape photographers. After many times of traveling to this country, we are glad to show you some amazing spots where we will shoot both landscapes and astro images. We will spend 8D/6N together between volcanos in Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park, waterfalls around Lumajang and seascapes on the South Coast.

Description
Those 3 main areas will be included in our Photo Tour among others:
- Mount Bromo belongs to the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park which covers a big area. It sits inside the immense caldera of the ancient Mount Tengger and altogether, it provides such beauty and so many shooting angles.
- Lumajang is a nice area south of Semeru, the highest active volcano in Java, where we can scout many various waterfalls and landscape compositions. Among them, Tumpak Sewu stands out as being very spectacular with its appearance of many different waterfalls in one single area.
- Kelud volcano is a less known touristic natural wonder but definitively worth the visit with its amazing surrounding mountains and its crater lake.
Besides this workshop in East Java, if you are interested in spending some more time together, we will be continuing for another 3 days on Bali Island capturing some rice fields, waterfalls and temples. This is a separate workshop and needs an extra booking.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Surabaya Arrival & Drive to Lumajang
We will meet at Juanda International Airport in the morning (no later than 10am) and drive to Lumajang (Tumpak Sewu Area).
Check in and free program.
We will get out for sunset, come back for dinner and go back out at night for astro shooting in Sarkawi place (star trail as facing North towards Semeru Volcano).
Day 2 – Explore Tumpak Sewu
Explore Tumpak Sewu waterfall and take pictures with the waterfall as foreground and Semeru volcano as background.
Free program before heading out for sunset.
Day 3 – Waterfalls & Drive to Bromo
Hunting sunrise from Tumpak Sewu waterfall before going back for breakfast and break.
Go back to to waterfall and start trekking with our local ranger for 30 minutes (you must use slippers, possible trekking shoes).
We will visit Telaga Biru (blue pond) and Goa Tetes.
Later on, we will transfer to Bromo, check in and free program until night time when our driver will pick us up from our hotel to head towards Perahu Hill Peak.
We will trek shortly to reach a spot to shoot the Milky Way.
Day 4 – Bromo Caldera
Early morning (4:30am), we will finish our astro session from Perahu Peak and continue to Mount Bromo sunrise while enjoying local coffee or tea around small stores in Pananjakan.
Capture sunrise and continue to the Sea of Sand to trek to the Crater.
Back to hotel and well-deserved rest.
We will head to another vantage point for sunset. Go back to hotel.
Day 5 – Horse sunrise & Rice Fields
We will shoot sunrise with horse and golden hours warm lighting.
Breakfast and check out before driving to our next destination nearby rice fields.

Day 6 – Rice Fields & Kelud Volcano
Another rice field shoot, breakfast and check out to drive towards Kelud Volcano.
Sunset and explore the Milky Way.
Day 7 – Kelud Volcano & Watu Godzilla
Early call to reach Kelud Volcano for sunrise (opening at 4am for us), little hike till our shooting spot.
Breakfast, check out and drive to a seascape spot nearby Watu Godzilla.
Rest and relax.
In the evening, boat ride to reach the beach and explore golden sunset and the Milky Way with Godzilla stone and beach as foreground.
Back to hotel and rest.
Day 8 – Watu Godzilla & back to Surabaya
After breakfast, check out and and back to Juanda International Airport in Surabaya.
End of tour of the landscape and astro photo tour in Java Indonesia.

- It should be paid within one week after confirmation from us
- If your deposit is not paid within one week of the confirmation, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation. Please, reach out to us in case you plan to pay the deposit at a later date
Photo tour needs to be paid in full no later than 2 months before the starting date of the tour.
In case of late booking less than 2 months prior to the tour, full price must be paid immediately after confirmation from us.
Visa
Please make sure you have the necessary visas depending on your nationality. It is your responsibility to have valid passports, visas or any other documents to participate in the photo tour.
Refusal of entry into the country is not accepted as a reason for a refund. Please, make sure to apply as early as possible.
Cancellation Policy
If, for any reason, you cannot participate in the landscape and astro photo tour in Java Indonesia, please send a mail to swede.photography@gmail.com. We will try to find a replacement for. Refund (minus the amount to cover bank transfer fees and additional expenses) will be given only if another participant is found to take your spot.
If the photo tour must be cancelled by the organizer Swede Photography, a full refund will be given to the participant. However, flights and other bookings made by the participant will not be refunded. Also, the organizer Swede Photography accepts no liability and responsibility for clients who are unable to attend due to (but not limited to) illness, flight cancellation, family emergencies or other extenuating circumstances. Such eventualities are the responsibility of the client and appropriate insurance should be confirmed at the time of booking.
In case of cancellation due to force majeure (war, riots, terrorist activity, civil strike, fire, flood, adverse weather, disasters) or circumstances beyond our control, the organizer may postpone or cancel the Photo Tour. Any effort to suggest alternative dates for the tour will be made. On the other hand, participants will receive a voucher for the amount paid that can be used to pay for the rescheduled tour or another tour, if agreed with Swede Photography.
