Faroes Sunset LOCATION: Vágar Island, Faroe Isl Faroes Sunset LOCATION: Vágar Island, Faroe Islands CATEGORY: Single shot GEAR: Canon EOS R5 Canon 16-35mm SOCIAL: Website: https://swedephotography.com IG: https://www.instagram.com/swede.photography STORY: I got to the desired spot few hours before sunset as the sky was heavy in clouds and I wanted to make I get one chance to capture the side sunlight hitting the background It was my last day of the trip with many cloudy and rainy days beforehand. I was coming back from northern areas and knew weather forecast was much better in the South. I had that shot in mind with flowing water from the river to be used as foreground and leading objective. To the community - keep shooting and sharing Mother Nature at its best.

With the heat wave going on in Switzerland and sur With the heat wave going on in Switzerland and surroundings, hiking up to 2700m for a night shooting was definitively the best idea of last weekend. While the temperature was of 37 degrees in the plateau, it was refreshing up there spending the night in a mountain hut. Here sharing my first image from there - half frozen lake by sunset.

Happy to share my first image from my trip to the Happy to share my first image from my trip to the Faroe Islands last May. The country was on my list for many years and finally made it there and no regrets. It was a crazy road trip .. just wish I had more time to discover even more and play more with the weather conditions which were hard to predict. Chatting with locals, I understood more and more the best way to travel around the islands and will apply that in the next visit. And please, I went there to enjoy the nature and get to meet nice people, locals and travelers. Stop sending me messages about how bad I’m to visit a place where some people fish and eat whales. I don’t know the conditions and political rules around the topic and whale meat is not what I was looking for. But yes I spent money to travel there.

Portfolio - Bali Indonesia and especially Bali h Portfolio - Bali Indonesia and especially Bali have been considered as my second home since I visited first time in 2013 to do my dive master course on Nusa Lembongan. Since then, I have visited the island 10+ times.. with each time adding some unknown Indonesian and diving spots on my discovery plans. 13 years ago, I was totally not a landscape photographer and discovered the passion many years later. Here are some shots from different spots I took in the last few visits. Some are land-based while others are aerial ones. I’ll share some underwater images in another post .. stay tuned
Portfolio - Orion Over the years starting from 2 Portfolio - Orion Over the years starting from 2019, I started experiencing more and more astrophotography but more specifically the Milky Way core .. shooting from March to October. I felt it too long of the stretch to wait for next March before going out and shooting the night sky. The winter sky and Orion came into play especially after improving my skills and gear adding up tracker and nebula filters. Find a set of winter sky images taken the past few years mainly in Swiss skies.
